Xiaomi introduces an innovative idea ‘Mi Store on Wheels’ to expand its customer reach in India. Xiaomi says that Mi moving store will able to reach the “heart of India”, and the main focus will be on villages and remote parts. With the introduction of Mi Store on Wheels, people in villages and remote areas will not have to go far away from home to buy Mi products. There will also an option to take experience before purchasing the products. Sales of smartphones from several companies, including Xiaomi, have been affected due to the coronavirus pandemic. In such a situation, the company has brought a new retail strategy to help the buyers in the restriction imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Xiaomi’s offline team will take the company’s retail store to the customer’s home through ‘Mi Store on Wheels’. The company will go to the villages itself and sell its smartphones.
Global Vice President and Managing Director of Xiaomi India, Manu Kumar Jain, tweeted about the ‘Mi Store on Wheels’. He also shared some pictures of Mi retail store.
‘Mi Store on Wheels’ designed like a food van. Not only the smartphone selling through the mobile store, but also it offers various other products such as Mi Smart TVs, Mi Box 4K, Mi CCTV Camera, Mi Sports Bluetooth Earphones, Mi True Wireless Earphones 2, Redmi Earbuds S, Mi Sunglasses, Power bank, and the charger are also selling.
Manu Kumar Jain says that this project has been completed in just 40 days. During this time, the company will go to villages and non-metro cities and sell products of Xiaomi. The company will also give a feedback form to the customers coming to shop. Customers can also demand a specific product, which the company will bring to their village-city in the second round.
Xiaomi is working on plans to launch its smartwatch in India soon. The company launched Mi Watch Color in China in January this year. The company can launch several smart devices at its online event Smarter Living 2021 on 29 September in India.
