Tea is the most liked beverage in the country. Tea grown in India is recognized all over the world today, but now some startups in the country are presenting this tea to the people with new flavors which are also being liked on a large scale.

A hotelier from New Zealand having an experience of 20 years in the field of hospitality business came back to India to do something for his own homeland.

Mr. Jagdish Kumar, a supporter of Modi Ji, gave up his green card and returned to India in December 2018 and started the business of selling “TEA”.

While talking about his Initial days of business Jagdish Kumar said, “When I came back to India from New Zealand about a year ago, I tried hard with my tea at the corporates office to get admission, but I was disappointed. Just after this, I gathered the goods needed to make tea and started setting up a tea shop outside his office. My tea was being liked a lot. Then a few days later I put a banner of ‘NRI Chaiwala’ in my shop, which became a matter of curiosity among the people.”

From the selling regular tea, he at some point he started a brand named Chotu Chaiwalah serving 35 variations of teas. He had also given some unusual names to his signature chai’s like-Mummy Ke Hath Wali Chai, Mardo Wali Chai, Corporate Wali Chai, and Dosto Wali Chai are what makes it a novel purpose of fascination.

After a drastic response for his work in this sector, he initiated his own company named Corpbite under which he began several food brands like Chotu Chaiwalah, Chaat House, Unlimited 24, Motulal Bhaturewala and more since 2018.

Inspired by Modi and his journey, he craves to meet him one day over a cup of tea and linked it with his startup mission to make youngsters aware of the ‘Make In India’ campaign and realize its capability and direct them to extend a business under its concept.

While asking about the impact of COVID-19 on the hospitality industry he says, ‘Corona pandemic has absolutely impacted extraordinarily troublesome for everybody and keeping in mind that Lockdown is the only solution at present to control the spread.’ Jagdish emphasizes that every business has faced difficulties during the coronavirus epidemic, but it is important to look at it from a different perspective as well. According to him, this is the perfect time for a startup.

Being an admirer of PM Modi, he supports the decision of lockdown taken by him to have the COVID-19 pandemic to a stop. Not only he has contributed to the PM CARES Funds but he also provides meals to those in need every day. Jagdish also shares recipes of the teas that can help us boost our immunity. He calls them Anti-Corona Tea.

Jagdish also added, “The shutdown began because of COVID-19, has given us enough time to think with a different perspective and to make unique plans for future, which  should now show positive results.”

Going forward with this startup, Jagdish wants to see India’s tea industry on a global high. They want to give more and more flavor of tea to the world.

With this Jagdish is now moving towards launching Tea Leaf in India and the global market.

The Yoga Maya Tea prepared by the startup has added 35 types of Herbs and Spices, along with the startup has also developed the Healthy Tea and Kids Tea for children.

Jagdish claims that this tea has been prepared to give physical benefits to people and to be proved to be an immunity booster for patients.
