Controversy on operating and security issues
The ‘Mitron’ app has been the victim of many types of allegations since its launch date. The app developers were accused of buying the app’s source code from a Pakistani company ‘Qboxus ‘ for 2,600 rs. Apart from it, the app was also reported to have some security weakness. It was saying that due to the weak security of the app, the hacker can compromise with a user account and can send the message to a specific user. However, The flaw didn’t allow the attacker to steal the personal information of the users as registering email ID and D.O.B, etc.
But despite all these allegations, the app has recovered from all of the issues and going to continue its services again. ‘Mitron’ app was being seen as a TikTok‘s alternative solution. Even before its removal from the play store, there were more than 50 million downloads and was continually growing. However, it will be worth seeing- how ‘Mitron’ will perform after this comeback? and How will it proceed after reform?
Google suspended ‘Mitron’ app on June 2, and after the removal, they didn’t mention any removing reason cause which many peoples expressed outrage on google’s this action but later on google came up with the reasonable facts. According to google’s policy “Apps should provide value to users through the creation of unique content or services.” It also states that the app should provide a “basic degree of functionality and respectful user experience.”
