The country’s cheapest MRI scan will begin soon. Only Rs 50 has to be paid for an MRI. The diagnostic facility is going to start in December this year at Bangla Saheb Gurudwara in Delhi. This information has been given by the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (DSGMC).
DSGMC President Manjinder Singh Sirsa told PTI, a dialysis center is also being built in Guru Harkishan Hospital on the premises of Gurdwara. It will start working from next week, the charge of dialysis will only 600 rupees.

Sirsa said that Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) services will be available for the needy for just Rs 50. But for others, an MRI scan will cost Rs 800. A committee of doctors has been formed to decide who needs a concession.
On average, in private laboratories, MRI costs at least Rs 2,500, which is difficult for low-income people to afford.
