Mumbai Police has been on everybody’s mind ever since the CBI probe for Sushant Singh Rajput starts.
People are having doubts about the Mumbai Police’s integrity.
Kangana Ranaut has been vocal about the investigation from the beginning. She has now alleged that the Commissioner of Mumbai Police liked a ‘derogatory tweet’ in her name on Twitter and that allegedly gave out a clear message that Kangana is not safe in the city and that Mumbai feels like PoK now. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut responded to Kangana’s tweets and said if Kangana does not feel safe here she shouldn’t come back. Raut criticized the actor’s allegations and said that she insulted the Mumbai Police force despite earning her living from the same city. He wrote, “We kindly request her not to come to Mumbai. This is nothing but an insult to the Mumbai police. The Home Ministry should take action over it.”
Kangana has been talking about the “Movie Mafia” and “Bollywood Drug Mafia” from the beginning. She wants to expose them as well, for which she requested more security as she is putting her career and life at risk. Since exposing the “Mafia” would mean taking the names of some established and big people. Also Read: Kangana Ranaut Slams ‘Nepotism’ in Bollywood after Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise
After the CP of the Mumbai Police liked a derogatory tweet against Kangana, the actor said that she could no longer trust the Mumbai Police for providing her security. “When @CPMumbaiPolice is openly intimidating me like this, encouraging bullying and crime against me, will I be safe in Mumbai? Who is responsible for my safety? @PMOIndia” she wrote.
Many people criticized Kangana for her remarks, including a few celebrities, such as Ritesh Deshmukh, Dia Mirza, Swara Bhasker, and Renuka Shahane.
Ritesh Deshmukh simply tweeted a three-word tweet, ‘Mumbai Hindustan Hai.’
While Renuka tagged Kangana and said its totally ‘appalling’ to see her draw such comparisons. She wrote, ‘Dear @KanganaTeam Mumbai is the city where your dream of becoming a Bollywood star has been fulfilled, one would expect you to have some respect for this wonderful city. It’s appalling how you compared Mumbai with POK! (sic)’
Kangana then replied to Renuka and said, ‘Dear @renukash Ji when did criticize the poor administration of a government became equal to the place being administered, I don’t believe you are that naive, were you also waiting like a bloodthirsty vulture to pounce and get a piece of my meat? Expected better from you Slightly smiling face” (sic)
Urmila Matondkar wrote, ‘Maharashtra is cultural n intellectual face of India..land of Great Shivaji Maharaj. Mumbai has fed millions of Indians n given them Name Fame n Glory. Only ungrateful can compare it with POK…Shocked n disgusted #EnoughIsEnough
#आमचीमुंबई #mumbaimerijaan #जयमहाराष्ट्र” (sic)’
Dia Mirza tweeted, ‘Mumbai meri Jaan *Folded hands* lived and worked here for almost twenty years. Moved here to live on my own at age 19. This city embraced me with open arms and kept me safe. A cosmopolitan, inclusive, diverse, beautiful city.” (sic)
Sonu Sood also took to Twitter to speak out on the same. He wrote, ‘मुंबई .. यह शहर तक़दीरें बदलता है। सलाम करोगे तो सलामी मिलेगी।” (sic)
Actor Swara Bhasker shared a tweet that mentioned that those comparing Mumbai with PoK are the real members of the ‘Tukde Tukde Gang’, a phrase used for defining a collective of bigots.
On Wednesday, however, an official tweet was made from the verified Twitter handle of Mumbai Police dismissing the possibility of the CP liking the tweet that Kangana objected to. The actor didn’t agree though. She wrote, “You are a big sham in the name of the police force, don’t you forget not just me all the people tagged got notifications of @CPMumbaiPolice liking the derogatory tweet, trying to prove victim a criminal seems your old dhandha, don’t you dare to lie @MumbaiPolice, don’t you dare ..” (sic)
After Raut’s blog in Saamana, Kangana once again took to Twitter and mentioned that Mumbai now feels like ‘Pakistan occupied Kashmir’. Her tweet read, “Sanjay Raut Shiv Sena leader has given me an open threat and asked me not to come back to Mumbai, after Aazadi graffitis in Mumbai streets and now open threats, why Mumbai is feeling like Pakistan occupied Kashmir?” (sic)
